What is Aminotherapy?
Aminotherapy is an application that achieves a denser and younger skin texture. In anti-aging applications, various methods are used to stop aging. In aminotherapy, the aim is to provide regeneration by treating skin cells. It is performed to ensure that the protein structures under the skin are re-synthesised and renewed. Hyaluronic acid and amino acids (glycine, proline, lysine, leucine, alanine and valine) are injected into the middle dermis layer under the skin.
Due to insufficient amino acids, the skin loses its elasticity, sagging, and wrinkles appear due to age. After the application, since collagen production will accelerate, wrinkles and sagging on the skin will be recovered, and the skin will look brighter. Amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins, constitute 20% of the body’s total weight. Amino acids are essential in all structures and functions in the human body. However, their scientific effects and long-term benefits still need to be apparent. Aminotherapy applications should not be seen as miracles or marvellous.
What is immunotherapy for?
Human skin is renewed by regularly producing the vitamins, minerals and amino acids it needs until a certain age. However, after a certain age, the skin does not regenerate, and the aging process begins since the body does not produce these substances. When hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin, which are the basic building blocks of the skin, are deficient in the body due to age, the skin loses its elasticity, colour and brightness. As the skin ages, pigment cells begin to stain and lose water. Especially in older skin, dehydrated skin type emerges. Dry skin wears out and starts to wrinkle. To be dried from this cycle, all procedures performed to treat skin cells are aminotherapy applications.
What effect does aminotherapy have on the skin?
While explaining the applications known as aminotherapy, we must define the matrix we encounter very often. Matrix is the name of the natural area where the cell, the smallest living unit of the body, lives. Just as the entire system deteriorates when the ecological environment deteriorates globally, the matrix will change due to intercellular deterioration. The change in the matrix due to age-related and external factors will be reflected on the skin. The primary purpose of rejuvenation applications is to improve the matrix. In addition to aminotherapy, energy-based devices and mesotherapy applications are also performed to renew the matrix.
The matrix consists of three basic elements: collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Studies carried out to increase their ratio in the body are called aminotherapy applications.
Collagen, which is frequently encountered in skin health, is a type of protein that is structurally and functionally necessary for the human body. Collagen strengthens connective tissue and protects body integrity, giving skin strength, flexibility, and robustness. However, collagen synthesis in the body decreases, especially after the 30s. Accordingly, aging effects appear on the skin.
Elastin is a structural protein produced by fibroblast cells. It is primarily found in the intercellular substance of connective tissue and provides the elasticity of the skin and other flexible tissues. It consists of the amino acids glycine, proline, valine, and alanine.
Hyaluronic acid is a polymer with binding properties. Its intense moisturising effect makes it essential for skin health.
Who is aminotherapy performed?
Since aminotherapy eliminates the effects of aging, it can be performed on anyone who complains of wrinkles, sagging, or discolouration in their skin. However, it should not be performed on anyone under the age of 20.
For which problems is aminotherapy performed?
In case of skin ageing and sagging
In spot treatment and sun spots
In case of skin cracks
If there is a dense cellulite texture
If there are under-eye bruises and under-eye bags
Is aminotherapy harmful?
It is thought that the applications performed until today have no side effects. However, the skin should definitely be analysed well while performing aminotherapy. If a skin allergy may occur as a result of triggering the immune system with an allergen, such applications should not be performed. In addition, since needles are used in the application, short-term bruising and redness may occur.
When does the effect of aminotherapy occur?
The effect is likely to occur quickly. On average, it occurs between 7 and 10 days, and it is known to last up to 6 months. Combined with a gold needle, laser, and botox, among the rejuvenation applications, its effect becomes apparent quickly.
How is aminotherapy done?
Amino acids are applied to the skin with a needle. Needles can be 4-6-13 mm thin and 26-30 gauge thick. Before the application, the face is numbed with an anaesthetic cream, reducing the pain level.
What should be considered after aminotherapy?
The treated area should not be washed for 24 hours after aminotherapy.
Avoid the sun; do not go to the solarium, Turkish bath or sauna.
Alcohol should be avoided, and smoking should be avoided as much as possible.
Drink plenty of water.
Heavy sports should be avoided.
How many sessions should aminotherapy be performed?
The number of sessions should be determined according to the skin’s structure. It is recommended to be performed once a week between 1-4 sessions.
Is aminotherapy performed on pregnant women?
It is thought that there is no drawback in performing aminotherapy applications on pregnant women. However, it is helpful to wait until after pregnancy to have these applications.
